About me

Mitt foto
The Jassid Man
My name is Mats Olsson and I was born in a small town called Bollnäs in Sweden. A river called Ljusnan runs through the city. "And A River Runs Through It". Decades ago this river was one of the best salmon rivers in the world. You could catch 60-70 pound salmon here. Now there are 7 power plants that make it impossible for the salmon to reach their former spawning areas. But we have a good brown trout and grayling fishing all the way into the town. 10 pound brown trout has been caught here. But what I really like is to get away from all commotion and fish with small flies. That's my preference just like Vincent Marinaro stated in his "A MODERN DRY FLY CODE". A very good book just like his "In the Ring of the Rise". So hopefully I can share some thoughts with you that have the same passion that I have. To tie and fish tiny flies. Just be patient. I've only started this blog but I aim to share the experience I have gained after over 50 years of fly tying and fly fishing.
